The Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, has urged student leaders to remain committed and diligent in fulfilling their responsibilities.
She made this call during an engagement at the Council Chamber, where student leaders from various bodies presented their proposed projects and activities for the academic year. The leadership groups present included representatives from Colleges, Halls, Associations, the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), and the Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana-KNUST (GRASAG-KNUST).

Professor Mrs. Dickson encouraged them to approach their work with focus and patience, stating, “Take one bite at a time; let us see more action and do more commissioning.”
Addressing the upcoming Student Week celebrations, the Vice-Chancellor appealed to all student leaders to ensure incident-free activities. “I entreat you all to maintain peace and discipline during this period. Let’s have a very calm semester,” she reiterated. She further assured them of management's readiness to provide the necessary support to help them leave a lasting legacy.

Among the presentations, GRASAG-KNUST President, Mr. Gabriel A. Kpevu, shared an architectural design for a proposed Research Commons project.
